Adani meets the CEO of Uber and suggests a potential partnership

Uber’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, visited Adani Group’s billionaire promoter, Gautam Adani, on Saturday when he was in India. After the meeting, which most likely took place at the Adani headquarters in Ahmedabad, Adani made hints about potential future partnerships between the port-to-power business and the ride-hailing behemoth.

“Very interesting conversation with Uber CEO @dkhos. His goals for Uber’s growth in India are very motivating, particularly his dedication to enhancing the status of Indian drivers. Looking forward to working with Dara and his team again in the future! #UberIndia,” Adani said on X (the previous Twitter platform). Khosrowshahi responded to Adani’s tweet by saying he had breakfast with the company. He emphasized Uber’s resolve to quicken India’s shift to electric vehicles.

Over a delectable brunch, I had an amazing discussion on India’s remarkable progress and burgeoning entrepreneurship with @gautam_adani. The CEO of Uber said in the post, “@Uber is committed to scaling up shared mobility and accelerating the transition to EVs — looking forward to take our partnership to the next level.” The two sides haven’t yet disclosed whatever aspect of mobility they want to work together on in the future.
