Oscar winners Mahershala Ali from Moonlight and Green Book, Jessica Lange from Tootsie and Blue Sky, Matthew McConaughey from Dallas Buyers Club, Lupita Nyong’o from Twelve Years a Slave, and Sam Rockwell from Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri are among the other A-list celebrities presenting.

The Oscar nominations for 2024 were revealed on January 23. The film “Oppenheimer,” directed by Christopher Nolan and based on the life of American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his contribution to the creation of the atomic bomb, led the field with 13 nominations. With 11 nominations, Emma Stone’s film “Poor Things” trailed closely behind.

In the meanwhile, Ryan Gosling will formally present “I’m Just Ken” at this year’s 96th Academy Awards. Gosling had said earlier in the month that he would want to attend the Oscars. “It could be too risky for me to handle. I’m not sure how it would function. However, I’m game,” the actor said to Variety. However, Gosling’s goal of performing at the Academy Awards was also expressed by Mark Ronson, who co-wrote the song with Andrew Byatt.

Barbie is nominated for seven additional awards, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Adapted Screenplay (written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach), Costume Design, and Production Design, in addition to Best Original Song.

ABC will broadcast the 96th Academy Awards live on Sunday, March 10 (March 11 in India).
