<p>The Dearness Allowance, or DA, has been raised by the state government by 4%. Additionally, pensioners now get a 4% boost in Dearness Relief, or DR. Approximately 10 lakh state workers, 12 lakh pensioners, and 8 lakh instructors would gain from the development.</p>
<p>The updated DA will go into effect in January 2024. The state administration will release a notice in this respect shortly.</p>
<p>Prior to The central government announced a 4 percent rise in dearness relief (DR) for retirees and dearness allowance for its workers on Thursday, March 7.</p>
<p>The increase in dearness allowance would result in an extra monthly cost of Rs 314 crore for the UP government’s coffers. In addition, state workers’ take-home pay will increase. The dearness allowance is now 46%, but with the most recent review, it will rise to 50%. The Finance Department has authorized the hike in DA for state workers in Uttar Pradesh.</p>
